So get this, my Internet provider decided to "switch equipment" so my broadband Internet has been down for over a week and half. You really have to love the laziness of the Czech people. To compensate, I've been spending about 300 krowns (~$12) every day in an Internet cafe, because I'm in the middle of about 3 different projects right now. Yesterday, I got really tired of just handing the Internet cafe my money, so I purchased yet another cell phone (now I have three) and a data cable, so now I'm using dialup through my cell phone. It basically sounds a lot cooler than it is, for 850 krowns ($34) a month, I get unlimited dialup Internet access through my cell phone. This means if I had the battery life for it, I could basically go anywhere in Prague and use the Internet, albeit slowly. Of course, my laptop battery lasts about 20 minutes, so right now I'm restricted to going anywhere in Prague that has electrical outlets. Places I've used it so far: my room.
The kicker is I just got an e-mail from my Internet provider and the Internet is expected to be fixed in 10 days. So basically I've just bought all this crap for no reason.
