Welcome to 1950 where the woman did all the cooking and cleaning and the man was a man.

What I did was rent a 4br/3ba house that I could afford, and for shits and giggles, I then put an ad on Craig's List looking for a roomate:

Here's the deal. I'm a 25 year old working professional that's renting a 4Br/3Ba house. I've got all the toys - 90+inch TV, surround sound, DSL, all furnature, etc. What I don't have is time. What I'm looking for is someone to rent one of the 4 bedrooms and in exchange for the extremely cheap rent ($300/month + 1/2 utilities) that person is going to need to keep the place clean, every day. Now, I'm not suggesting that they need to scrub the floors or vaccuum every day, but pick up if there's a mess, do the dishes (I rarely cook), take out the trash, that kind of stuff. In addition, every weekend, I'd like the place vaccumed, dusted, and I'd like the linens changed and towels washed. You'll get your own room, your own bath room, and best of all, I'll almost never be there.

Now, since we'll be living together, it is essential that we get along, so be prepared to meet with me to see the house and chat a bit about who you are and what you do.

It would be nice if you were female, between 21-30, and working. I'm not trying to hook up or anything, and I don't care if you have your fiends over or whatever, so long as my place is kept clean and my shit doesn't get stolen or broken. That's all... I don't think that's too much to ask.

If you don't want to clean, then the rent is $600/month, but I'm less interested in that proposition.

Please email me a pic and some background information (age, sex, occupation, interests, cleaning experience, etc.) and we can talk more about this.

So far, I've received at least 6 replies... they're offering to cook and do my laundry and shit too... this is amazing! Why didn't I think of it before?

Basically, the interviews are going to have a 3 page questionaire and the winner will probably be the person that checks the most of these boxes regarding which services they will offer:

o Cooking (2 meals/day, 5 days/week as per my diet)
o My laundry, wash, fold, and iron (weekly)
o Changing Sheets (weekly)
o Taking out Trash (as needed + every Monday)
o Vacuuming (weekly)
o Dusting (weekly)
o Polishing Furniture (weekly)
o Mopping floors (weekly)
o Cleaning Showers (weekly)
o Cleaning Toilets (weekly)
o Cleaning dishes (daily)
o Picking up my messes (daily, as needed)
o Wakeup Service (get my ass out of bed every morning with a cup of coffee)
o Cleaning my aquarium (biweekly)
o Spot cleaning the carpets (as needed)

You're renting out a housewife? I think the rent should be free for all that crap, although I don't really know the San Diego housing market right now. What the hell are you doing with the other 3 bedrooms? Wouldn't it make sense to rent out one (or both) of these if you're really never home? This could be the worst deal I've ever heard - my rent in Prague was a little over $300 and I didn't have to be anybody's bitch.

Dude, this sounds better than a mail order bride. At least you know that they won't drug you and leave you less one kidney in an ice filled bathtub.

You should put in a clause that if she gets fat she has to pay more rent.

I think that maybe she should be fat... she might be a better cook. Plus, if I don't want to fuck her, then the probability of the situation ending very badly is reduced. I'm thinking this is going to end up like "Threes Company"... I can't wait! First interview is tomorrow.

As for the utilization of the other bedrooms, it works out like this:

(1) My Bedroom
(2) Housekeeper's bedroom
(3) My office
(4) My music room (for tax reasons)

I really don't want a roomate, but I really do want a full time house keeper... the $300 isn't really rent, its more of an inconvienence fee that they have to pay me.
