I had a hangover this morning and found myself unable to go back to sleep, so I watched Taxi Driver. In retrospect, I really don’t think it’s a good movie to watch at 11 in the morning, but I had never seen it before so I gave it a whirl. It pretty much ruined the rest of my day. I was sitting in my room afterwards and the sheet was a bit off to the point where you could see the mattress cover underneath and I came to the realization that the mattress cover was cooler than the actual sheet. This depressed the hell out of me, for some reason. The lighting in my room is bad, it’s a single light bulb on my ceiling. Sure, it’s enclosed in some sort of fixture, but that makes it give off even less light and that in itself is also depressing. Los Angeles is a depressing city, I need to get the hell out of here.

Well, the area of Michigan where I reside isn't much better, but it's certainly a lot cooler, that is for sure. I once lived in Arizona for a few months. It seems to me, if Arizona is the extreme of dry heat, then Michigan is the extreme of titilating winters. My recommendation for anyone with the monetary resources to do so, live in Arizona during the Fall, Winter and first half of the Spring Season, then live in Michigan during the Summer. Just an opinion, seems like a good enough idea to me.

Oh, second half of Spring, take a vacation. ;-)

Shoot, you should see my mattress cover. It's not too pretty, but it really doesn't depress me. Living in my apartment does though. Rent just went up, and it seems like the place gets smaller day by day. Maybe I'll take to arming myself with a small arsenal and protecting women of the street.

- double d (october 10, 2005 at 1:09 pm)

Yeah, I know what you mean about rent going up. Tell you what I did when I was living in the Detroit area. Everytime rent was about to go up, I moved. If we had a car that ran on alcohol, it would cost more but it would certainly be more convenient. ;-)

You fucking suck! I hate everything you post, and I hope you shit broken glass. stop fucking posting stupid ass pictures you asshole!

- flor de china (october 13, 2005 at 10:07 pm)

Fact is, I don't even drink alcohol but once every two months or so, and then, it's only maybe one or two beers tops, nevermore. ;-)

uh huh .

Well, another country heard from, flor de china....just when i thought all was getting along, once again, we have to hear degrading comments like that. I thought we had this all worked out, but once again, see what thought does for me! flor de china, if you don't like the pictures you do have the option of not looking at them, scroll past them, but wishing someone ill will because of their postings or their sense of humor goes beyond belittling. Actually mr. pc man, I like those pics you posted. Pretty humorous indeed. I know many people are probably wishing their water coolers at work would resemble something like that!!!!

bert I really hope your day goes better. Life seems to look bad from time to time, but there really are some beatiful things that are out there that we can focus on.

you suck too.

You know....I never thought this was possible, but I have finally reached my limit. What started out as a great place to come and discuss issues. All the majority of the people on here, with a couple of exceptions, all you want to do is discuss, food, and poop, and put pornographic material of elderly gentlemen on here, and what else do they do....the belittle, and try and degrade those of us who try and post serious postings, with serious thoughts and concerns. We aren't trying to save the world, just trying to make our little cornor of it better and hopefully those around us. You wish us ill, and personal harm. Why is it that you feel so threatened by us? Is it because we are capable of thought beyond the defication and the porn, and the McRib? We post different nodes in hope of getting on with our discussions, but yet, for all you protestations of not liking what we have to write, you manage to seek us out, and continue with your belittling ways and keep on degrading us. You don't like what we write, fine, that is your option, but then don't read it and stay on your own nodes, so you can keep talking about shit and porn and whatever other trivial subjects you wish....Like I said, I have had my fill, there are other sites I can go to and have honest, opinionated conversations, and yes sometimes disagreements, but they are civil disagreements, with people that truly respect the rights of others. So you moronic and little minded people stay here, and rejoice over the fact that you have finally and completely pushed me away I have tried for the last time to be respectful, to give respect in hopes of getting some respect, but that obviously isn't going to happen here, because obviously if something is more than two lines long, you can't comprehend any of it, you are incapable of honest, legitimate thought, and the world is truly worse off for having people like you in it.....

- liza's twin (october 14, 2005 at 12:28 pm)

halfway there... my moratorium shall finish now... much rejoicing.

Bernie goes to a grocery store. He finds cat food at special prices. He picks a dozen cans of cat food and goes to check out. The Manager gets suspicious. He thinks that this guy cannot have a cat and will probably feed cat food to his kids. He asks Bernie to show him his cat before he could let him have cat food. Bernie goes home and returns with a cat and gets to buy the cat food.

Next week Bernie finds dog food at special prices. He picks a dozen cans of dog food and goes to check out. The Manager again gets suspicious. He thinks that this guy has a cat but he cannot have a dog and he will probably feed dog-food to his kids. He asks Bernie to bring and show him the dog before he can let him have dog food. Bernie goes home and returns with a dog. He gets to buy the dog food.

Next week Bernie comes to the grocery store with a bag. He asks the manager to put his hand in the bag. The Manager puts his hand in the bag and immediately takes it out. He shouts at Bhola: "What! There's nothing but doodie in this bag!"

Bernie calmly replies: "Yes, and I want toilet paper"

Wallabysnot, you can take that moratorium and shove it right up your ass! The only ONE thing I haven't particularly enjoyed with regards to Lizas postings is the fact that she shows respect towards all of you ASSHOLES that are so UNDESERVING of HER respect! Even if she goes, you've still got ME to deal with, then you've also got Ibizachris who has admitted on a couple of different occassions to agreeing with me on these issues. It's just too bad that he appears to be BUSIER than ALL OF US, and therefore has not had the time to come on here as often as I might have liked hearing from him. Then you've got your fence jumper, Double D, the one who appears to be attempting to take the "winning" side of all arguments that are being made. I can't honestly say who's particular side he will be on, nor can I say for how long.

However, he did create the entire "The Corporation" node ALL BY HIMSELF, and we did AGREE on every ISSUE that was being addressed in that particular documentary. Double D also recognized the node "Old People and Children" for it's utter stupidity, and so, while I took the first half of that stupid argument, he proceeded to do something that I considered to be rather smart, he took the second half of it, and together, we made Hans look PRETTY STUPID for posting that Stupid Argument, to begin with. Now, all hans can do, is look at it, and LAUGH at how stupid he was for posting it. ;-)

This is so lame... its like arguing for the sake of arguing. Didn't flor taste poop once? What does it taste like?

i bet it's starchy.... probably like a gooey form of those packing peanuts?

Depends who makes it .
Personalised poop,truly original signature food.

Personally, i prefer the smell of my own shit over others, just like anyone else, but if you "need" advice in this area, my recommendation would be not to go tasting it, whether it's yours, or not.
;-)

- mr. pc man (october 15, 2005 at 2:58 am)

pc man smells shit. ha ha.

yes I'm drunk.

Gee no kidding....who would have guessed!

- liza's twin (october 16, 2005 at 2:49 am)

Oh, so, wallabysnot, does this mean you are agreeing to appreciate, the funny pictures of someone drinking an overly "big" glass of alcohol, as well as the new "heineken" idea? Oh, noooooooooooooooo, mr. pc man posted that. That can't possibly be funny! Now, let's all take out our pocketknives and cut off our noses to spite our faces today, alrighty than? That way, we can keep "everyone" who wishes to participate in OUR website from entering the "inner circle" of our clique today. What a fricken laugh...L O L... ;-)

- mr. pc man (october 16, 2005 at 5:14 am)

You know pc man....it reminds me of my days in high school....not wearing the right clothes, didn't have the right look...."inner circles" are I guess no matter where you go. But what a narrow minded way to think, because you really miss out on getting to know the true selves of the people that you are snubbing, and as far as I am concerned it is their loss. I have said it here once before and I will say it again. I am who I am and what you see is what you get, and fuck you if you can't take a joke....People like you and me will always be true to ourselves and true to our ideals and our passions, and we will NOT let anybody sway us from the convictions of our beliefs....So lets hear it for the "outer circle"!!!! HIP, HIP, HOORAH!!!!!!!

- liza's twin (october 17, 2005 at 11:48 am)

I, like you Liza, am "Out of the box," "Out of the 'inner circle'," and a "non-conformist" if you will. And believe me, people who don't let "others" tell them what to do. People who instead tell "themselves" what to do. Those people have more power, than "most" people could possibly begin to realize or for that matter ever even imagine. ;-)

- mr. pc man (october 17, 2005 at 10:28 pm)

I decided a long, long time ago, that I had value, just the way I was...and at that point I became a much happier and contented person. I will admit that for a short time, I tried to fit in with other peoples ideals, but it was a miserable time in my life, and I wasn't being true to the way the good Lord made me. Taking a stand for what you believe in, as we know, is not always the most popular choice. But at least I can look myself in the mirror every single day, and know that come hell or highwater, I am being true to myself in all areas of my life. And what is better, I have instilled that in my children. And maybe, just maybe some day, right will make might, and our reward will be great!

SO ANYWAY BACK TO TAXI DRIVER....

Bertrand, it can't be that bad. At least when you leave your concrete cube there's stuff to do outside..

I'm stuck here in the midwest (been saving and trying to leave for years), when I leave my concrete cube,
I have to drive 4 or 5 hrs to Chicago just to find something to do...that or fly to NY...or drive to CO...

there's nothing here; farms, cows, the ever-present smell of various types of shit

and that's providing that it's one of the 4 months during the year that it's not close to or below zero outside..at least you have sun most of the year

I don't think there's anything more frustrating than being stuck somewhere where:

it's winter for more than half the year BUT there's hardly any snow
even if the snow does cover the ground, there's no hills...it's so flat here the ski hill is a depression...

SO ANYWAY BACK TO DEPRESSION..
I'm actually trying to move to the state you live in...think about that for a while...

- tbonicus (october 18, 2005 at 9:43 am)

Well, I don't know about CA, myself, although I loved San Francisco, particularly "China Town." But a nice, dry heat--IE--AZ--seems preferable, whether it's during the Summer, or not. I'd definitely recommend going there for vacation during "summer" just to test the waters a bit, cause it gets so hot in that "general" area, whether it's CA or AZ, that people have been pretty much scientifically proven to go "nutz."

The constant HEAT does something to one's body chemistry, if you will. Especially someone who, like myself, is used to colder temperatures, while I do agree, I feel as though I'd prefer the heat over the cold, BUT, I have not been in their shoes, so "I" would not actually know, what exactly it is that I'd want, from that end.

Florida, not having been there, is said to be, extremely humid combined with HEAT during the summer and possibly even the spring season as well. Far out of my book, obviously. I'd say, northern california, would probably be the way to go. Just guessin' here, not a world travelor myself but have indeed traveled.
;-)

- mr. pc man (october 18, 2005 at 4:12 pm)

Having been very few places, I can say that the one place I did visit and would like to go back to is Colorado. That state is absolutely gorgeous and from what I understand in some parts the winters are very mild. I have always been very curious about CA, would like to visit it sometime, but with my luck the "big one" would hit, and I am not sure if I could handle feeling the one solid I am sure about, "solid ground", start to shake and move. Florida is great, but July and August are killers, but you know with their winter months, which are absolutely perfect I would put up with two months of killer heat....
